The story follows (played by Ajay Devgn ), a cable TV operator and film enthusiast living in a small village in Goa with his wife, Nandini (Shriya Saran), and their two daughters. Their lives are upended when Nandini and their elder daughter, Anju , accidentally kill Sameer "Sam" Deshmukh , the son of Inspector General Meera Deshmukh (Tabu), after he attempts to blackmail Anju.
