Directed by David Bruckner ( The Night House , The Ritual ), the 2022 Hellraiser is not a remake but a or a legacy sequel. It ignores most of the convoluted direct-to-video sequels and returns to the source material. The story follows Riley (Odessa A'zion), a young woman struggling with addiction. After stealing a mysterious ornate puzzle box (the Lament Configuration) from a wealthy warehouse, she accidentally solves it.
