From the Stonewall riots in 1969, which are often considered the catalyst for the modern LGBTQ rights movement, to the present day, there has been a continuous fight for rights, recognition, and respect. Over the decades, the community has seen significant advancements in terms of legal rights, social acceptance, and visibility in media and public life.
