Flash forward 27 years: John (Mark Wahlberg) is now a 35-year-old rental car agent in Boston. He and Ted are still best friends, but they are stuck in a state of perpetual adolescence. They spend their days smoking pot, watching bad movies (specifically the 1980 Flash Gordon), and avoiding responsibility. The conflict arises when John’s girlfriend, Lori (Mila Kunis), decides it is time for Ted to move out so John can finally grow up.
