The story is set in the run-down neighborhood of Aridong and follows (played by Baek Yoon-sik ), a grumpy, miserly landlord who is widely disliked for his relentless pursuit of rent. The neighborhood is shaken when elderly residents begin disappearing or turning up dead under mysterious circumstances.

A retired detective appears, claiming a serial killer from 30 years ago has returned.
