Synopsis

From the author of the bestselling ESCAPING FROM EDEN.

Do our world mythologies convey our ancestors' ideas about God? Or are they in reality ancestral memories of extra-terrestrial contact? How do ancient stories of contact, adaptation and abduction relate to people's experiences around the world today?

The Scars of Eden will take you around the world to hear first-hand from ancestral voices alongside contemporary experiencers and world-renowned researchers. Recent revelations from US Navy, the Pentagon, and French Intelligence bring the reader right up to date in examining what has been forgotten and remembered, hidden and disclosed.

If world mythologies, including the Bible, have confused the idea of God with ancient ET visitations, what difference does it make? How does it impact society today? And why is this cultural taboo so widespread and, for the author, so personal?

Andrew Blake’s Night Trips (1989) and Night Trips 2 (1991) are landmark works in the “erotic art film” subgenre, known for their dreamlike cinematography, minimal dialogue, and fusion of high-fashion aesthetics with explicit content. This paper examines the films through two primary lenses: first, Blake’s formalist techniques—soft focus, saturated colors, slow motion, and ambient soundscapes—that elevate the erotic encounter into a surrealist dream logic; second, the material and technological context of the as a viewing format. The DVDRip, with its compression artifacts, interlacing artifacts, and lower resolution, paradoxically enhances the “nocturnal” and “nostalgic” qualities of the films. Rather than viewing the rip as a degraded copy, this paper argues that the DVDRip becomes an essential aesthetic object, mirroring the hazy, mediated, and memory-like texture of the films’ own narrative structure.

"Night Trips 1 & 2" brings together two distinct films that showcase Blake's skill in crafting engaging and visually stimulating content.

It won AVN’s Film of the Year and even earned a Silver Medal at WorldFest-Houston, making Blake one of the first adult directors recognized by a mainstream international film festival. Night Trips II (1990)
