Drawing on literature from digital sociology, relationship science, and visual communication, we propose a theoretical framework linking three core dimensions: (1) the editing-perception gap (discrepancy between edited image and reality), (2) collaborative editing as a relational ritual, and (3) the retrospective editing of shared visual histories.
