Place the firmware file (usually ending in .bin ) directly onto the root of the USB drive (not inside a folder). Plug and Update: Insert the drive into the DVR’s USB port. Navigate to Main Menu > System > Upgrade . Click Select File , choose your firmware, and hit Start .
